Hi Katie!
...I already LOVE your makeup line on its own but now that I’ve had plenty of time to use my new brush set, I love it even more!!!
Kabuki – MY FAVORITE! I used to use the kabuki brush from Bare Escentuals and I thought it was fine until I used your kabuki! It is PERFECT for the mineral powder. It goes on so smooth and really penetrates into my skin so it doesn’t look cakey. I put on extra powder when I don’t use the mineral foundation and this brush helps give me full coverage without looking like a piled on too much powder.
Blush – I always thought blush brushes were all the same. I used to use a MAC one but after I applied my brush, I would have to use a powder brush to blend it in. Your blush brush does the blending for me! All I have to do is dip my brush in the blush and apply!
Stipling – I saw these types of brushes before but never thought I really needed it. Now – I can’t live without it! It helps me blend my powder, blush and
bronzer to make my makeup look so smooth!
Blending – I LOVE this brush! With lots of blending brushes I used before – either it was too soft or too hard, this one is perfect. This brush makes any eye shadow so easy to blend! I use your Soot mineral eyeshadow as an eyeshadow AND to set my eyeliner. It gives me the smoky look that I love! I’ve tried a lot of black eyeshadows but can never work with them because they’re really hard to blend. I don’t know what’s in the Soot eyeshadow but it is by far the easiest thing to blend!!! Especially paired with the blending brush – smoky eyes are a piece of cake! Another thing I love about the blending brush is that I can use it to blend the black shadow, wipe off the excess shadow a little bit on a towel or tissue, and use it right away to blend other colors. It doesn’t transfer over! Other brushes I’ve used, I have to have one brush solely to use with the black shadow.
Smudge – another must to achieve the smoky look! I use this with the Soot mineral eyeshadow to really to add more color on the outer areas of my eyelids and underneath my eyes.
Shadow – I like to put a shimmery white-ish color on my inner eyelids and this brush really makes the color stay!
Contour – This is probably one of my favorite brushes. It lets me cheat and contour my face so it looks slimmer!
Angled – I LOVE this brush for my eyebrows. Just a few swipes and my eyebrows are done! Other brushes I’ve used, I would still have to blend my eyebrows but this brush does it all for me already!
