Faux Lash Mascara is my new all time must have!

Like I've said before, I would never go recommending anything I haven't tested on myself. I'm my own guinea pig and I am constantly subjecting myself to anything out there to try to find what's best. And now into my second tube of Faux Lash Mascara, I'm never going back to any other mascara!

Mascara is my makeup essential. I wouldn't leave home w/o mascara if that was the only product I could have. I like drawing attention to the eyes. I've tried all the mascaras out there from Chanel to Shishedo, to the Mascara sharks Estee Lauder. And I've been using the same kind of mascara for the past 8 years! But after trying Faux Lashes I've finally switched. I tried Faux Lashes for a week, then went back to my old mascara to see if I could tell a difference! I was shocked at how limp and fine my lashes looked w/o Faux lashes! Faux Lashes just gave my lashes so much volume and made my lashes looked so full I couldn't go back to using my old favorite anymore. And I love that it's water resistant. Water resistant is the only way to go. Do your lashes ever go straight after a couple of hours even when you curled them? It's probably b/c you're not using waterproof mascara. Waterproof formulas have more wax in them that ensures your lashes will stay curled all day. And Faux Lashes only gets better with time. Mascaras usually dry out after about a month of continuously pumping air into the tube. But w/Faux Lashes you don't get that drying and clumping.

I know you guys are always asking me for recommendations with mascara and I haven't had a great one to rave about until now. And I know it seems as though I'm biased to all things MAC. I do love just about everything MAC has but was never a fan of any of MAC's mascara (they have about 7 different formulas).


I can go on and on about Faux Lashes, but try it for yourself. The introductory price is $12.50 plus shipping for .46 OZ. That's twice the amount of any other mascara out on the market.

I'm not the only one who loves it...

just a note on taking off the mascara. one must use an oil based makeup remover. i love lancome's bi-facil. make sure that you soak your cotton swab with the makeup remover, close your eyes, press the swab on your lashes gently for a few seconds - this is to let the makeup remover breakup the mascara a bit (note-important step here), then proceed to wipe off the mascara. if you have some residue left over or having difficulty taking the mascara off, clients have told me sweet almond oil works wonders. after using sweet almond oil (thanks rebecca!), make sure you rinse your face with any type of face wash to remove the oily residue.

I'll add to your comment on this mascara. I actually ordered this mascara about 3 weeks ago and I have been using it everyday ever since. It makes my lashes a lot longer and more noticeble, even the bf notices it! You only have to curl it once and apply 2-3 coats and you have beautiful long lashes. Also, I think it is a must to use a good eye makeup remover to take off this mascara.

Well, at least it did for me.

A few weeks ago, I fell upon this myspace of one very creative and talented makeup artist. She was promoting a MASCARA that will do wonders. I thought, "Well they all say that...." Then I read the testimonials and decided, "Oh what the hell. I spend so much on makeup as it is, $15 won't do any damage." So I sent in my payment, got the package in a week, and tried it on.

Let's just say, I don't even bother with the other mascaras I have now. I'm about to just throw 'em away. (Yeahhhh.....THAT good!) So the losing mascaras I have ranged from the cheaper to the more expensive: Loreal, Lancome Flextensils, Estee Lauder, Clinique Gloss, MAC prolash/fiberlash, Smashbox, Christian Dior Show, Chanel, Shisheido, Passport, Benefit Bad Girl Lash.....ON and ON!!! I was never satisfied....

When I got FAUX LASH from Katie B. Cosmetics, it was a GODSEND!!

What's so great about it?


Natural ingredients (foreal, I can actually understand and read it.)
More in the tube (twice as much as othe rbrands)
Short fat brush (easy application, reach)
Totally waterproof (use lancome bifacial remover)
No clumps! (at all!)
Lashes feel soft (no matter # of coats)
Thickens and lengthens (immensely!)
No smudges! (even after a long 12-hr work shift!)
Cheap! (12-15 bucks!? Yeah!)

As you can imagine, a girl like me don't get to dress up often at all. I for one wear SCRUBS most of the time in this color. There's not much glamourizing a nurse can do. So naturally, I just have fun with my makeup. Of course, I don't go overboard cause you can't have a nurse with all the colors of the rainbow on her lids. I keep it professional. And ever since I've been using FAUX LASH, my coworkers even stop me in the middle of report to ask, "Are you wearing false lashes?" Hahaha! If only they knew! And even some of my patients ask me the same thing when I examine them. Compliments all the time.....and they always think its fake.

I don't care if you hardly wear makeup, mascara is an essential and thankfully you'll only need this one brand.
My fellow makeup junkies, tell her I sent ya! I know you better get some for yourselves!
GUYS: Buy it for your girlfriend!!!! I swear she'll love you!

Don't even think about putting it off. Just buy it. Seriously..

I'm hard to impress when it comes to cosmetics, so it takes ALOT in a product for me to get THIS EXCITED about it. I wouldn't even TALK about it if it was "just like any other."

SOME TIPS:

Use a good lash curler and primer.

Apply one good coat before makeup application, then go back and apply as more as you like.
Hard to wash off unless you use a good oil-base remover! (Lancome Bifacil is the bomb!)
Let me know how it goes for you beautiful ladies. After you get your hands on your own, you may then throw the rest of your mascaras away!

so i've been raving....
about Faux Lashes by Katie B. Cosmetics...

Last weekend I was in Vegas (lol this weekend I'll be in Vegas too!)
(i swear i should just buy property out there....)
but anywho I was sitting at the hotel vanity desk doing my makeup routine...

I am sad to part with my wonderful friends Almay waterproof mascara & Lancome Hypnose (two of my favorites of all brands) but damnit Faux Lashes, where have you been all my life??!! Ive been in search for the perfect mascara and Im proud to announce that Ive finally found it. Thanks to one late night when I was browsing around myspace.com. =P I found miss Katie B.s page and her advertisement on Faux Lashes. Skeptical at first, I decided to delay my order until fate made its call I ran into another great MUA Jos testimony and you bet, I couldn't delay no longer. I didnt expect my order to arrive until next week but surprisingly, I checked my mail today and found it sitting there patiently. Coincidentally, I was in the middle of a photoshoot and immediately used it on the model. Her lashes instantly transformed from barely even there to breathlessly long and thick! After the shoot, I was so tired but I just had to try it myself and I cant express how much of a difference it really makes. Too bad I dont have a digicam to show you gals some proof. Girl.... this mascara is GOLD
I just got it yesterday and applied my makeup... of course using your mascara... and omg... screw the putting on of fake lashes (well accept maybe for special occasions) but... WOW... your mascara really does lengthen and thicken my lashes... and my lashes are naturally long, so I only needed like 2-3 coats and a good eyelash curl... and I was good to go.. I'm SOLD....

girls be prepared! my eyelashes are very thin and ive never been able to put on fake eyelashes with them looking decent. ive been thru so many products; almay, revlon, covergirl, maybelline...whatever claims to give you long thick lashes, you name it, i tried it. when a friend of mine told me she actually made her own mascara, i was eager to try it. i mean, if you look at this womans makeup skills, you know she HAS to know a thing or two of what women want in mascara. a few days ago i received her mascara and oh my god, IM NEVER GOING BACK TO ANY OTHER MASCARA! no im not just saying that because she is a friend of mine, her mascara is amazing. my lashes came out looking longer and thicker and...well the best way to describe it is amazing! the best part is its waterproof!! and when i say waterproof, i mean waterproof. so ladies, that means you will NOT look a mess when your crying over your boyfriend. yes, her mascara can hold up to all those tears so youll still look beautiful and who knows, maybe you can catch another hotties eyes... now seriously you have to try this product. "Faux lashes will give you the look of false lashes and make you say goodbye to wilting lashes. Its so good, its gold." and that is noooo lie!

i just receive the product today...i was so excited...open it and put it on..girl...i love it...no doubt about it..i love how u don't have to pump it so many times. all i have to use was one coat..and its thicken so easily. no clumps watsoever. its reaally waterproof. it was so hard to get it off my lids! No more searching for the right mascara..I've found it. I received mine in the mail over the weekend.Like kimwitbig0ass,my mom trimmed my lashes when i was a baby.I've tried semi permanent eyelash which are expensive but with faux lash,will do without false lashes.Thanks.

I just received your product (Faux Lashes) the other day and I can't express how much I like it. NO, how much I LOVE it! It worked wonders just like you promised. I know you said to give it a couple of tries before making a determination but I've been using it consistently for the past three days now and it worked beautifully. It gave me lashes that are now visible, whereas before it was hardly seen. The only thing I was worried about was taking it off. Since it's water proof, taking if off at the end of the day took some time. I was afraid the limited lashes that I have, was going to come off too. But other than that, I love it! I don't even have to curl my lashes before I applying the mascara. It gave me beautiful thick long lashes. I seriously hope to be able to work with you one of these days. I love your mascara! At first I wasn't sure that there was a difference between yours and my other mascaras, but when I put one on each eye I could totally tell the difference. For the first few minutes there were pretty similar, but throughout the day yours managed to keep my lashes long and curled! I am so happy I saw your mascara on Jo's xanga page! Can't wait to see what else you come up with! Oh and I absolutely LOVE the way your do makeup. I think you need to add a tips section on your page.

Hi Katie,

I recently bought your Faux Lash Mascara and I wanted to wait at least a week before writing back to you. Everything that you stated it does, it actually does very well! I curl my lashes with Shu Umera eyelash curler and put on 2-3 coats of your mascara and it lengthens and thickens my lashes beautifully. The best thing about ur mascara is that it lasts all day long unlike other brands which start wilting halfway through the day. I also found a great eye makeup remover that works with ur mascara. That is the Clarins eye makeup remover. So great product and everyone should give this a try because they don't know what they are missing!
